The UN Secretary-General has said that gender equality is fundamental to the fight against hunger across the globe.

According to reports, UN Chief Antonio Guterres, has pushed for gender equality as a game changer for families and communities. He also said that accessing education would increase food security for women and girls.

In a tweet, the UN Secretary-General stated that gender equality was a fundamental requirement to remove hunger from the globe.

“When women and girls have access to resources and education, they will not only play a decisive role in providing food security for themselves but also for their families and community,” he tweeted.
