Tata Starbucks aims for 40% women in its workforce by 2023

Tata Starbucks, a renowned coffee chain, aims to have 40% women in its workforce by 2023 in India.

As per news reports, Tata Starbucks, which has completed a decade in India, also has 100% pay parity.

Sushant Dash, CEO, Tata Starbucks, was quoted by reports as saying, “By next year, 40 percent of our workforce will be women. We have 100 percent pay parity as well,” Dash says.

Now, the workforce comprises nearly 34 percent of women and several outlets are being managed by women exclusively.

The internationally-known chain has over 250 outlets in India across 26 cities, apart from airports and highways.

Tata Starbucks is among the top 100 Best Companies for Women in India, a gender analytics exercise conducted by Avtar in association with US-based Working Mother. It has been featured in the list since 2016 when the study was first launched.
