Shaping Careers and Curating a Future-Ready Workforce

The 2nd edition of the myAvtar Career Conference (MACC) 2025 was held on August 30 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru. The event drew more than 3,000 registrations and welcomed over 1,000 participants onsite, including corporate leaders, HR professionals, academicians, entrepreneurs, and career aspirants.

A key highlight was the launch of the Why We Work study by Avtar in partnership with EY Global Delivery Services. Based on inputs from 10,255 professionals, the study revealed that recognition, family security, growth, and upskilling are central to career motivation in India, with the Risk–Resilience–Reward framework emerging as a defining insight.

The conference featured thought-provoking panels on career momentum, comeback strategies, and reinvention, with leaders from Kenvue, Indegene Microsoft, NatWest, Publicis Sapient, Biocon Biologics, and others emphasizing adaptability, skill translation, and intentional reinvention. Skilling sessions by experts from Salesforce, IBM, and Althire AI focused on AI-led recruitment, agentic careers, and future-readiness.

Recognitions at MACC 2025 included the Career Icons Award to leaders from Microsoft and Salesforce, the Inspiring Second Career Professional Award, and the Organizational Award for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion to KBR Energy. Chief Guest Pavitra Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Group, inspired participants by highlighting resilience and purposeful career building.

Exclusive mentoring sessions engaged 198 mentees, while an Industry–Academia Roundtable provided actionable pathways to strengthen employability and inclusivity. By combining research, dialogue, skilling, recognition, and mentoring, MACC 2025 reinforced Avtar’s position as a national thought leader in workplace inclusion and future-of-work readiness, shaping the path for more equitable careers in India.
