With companies opting for different models of working as they return to a physical office, Intel is the most recent organization to embrace flexibility.
As highlighted by its chief people officer Christy Pambianchi in a LinkedIn post recently, the MNC is out with a policy that looks into ‘the specific needs of different business units, teams, employees and geographies, and the different work each of us does throughout the year.’
Her post added, “By embracing flexibility, we can create a dynamic workplace that enables all of us to do our best work. I am excited about the endless possibilities and connection opportunities throughout this transition.”
An off-shoot of the pandemic, flexible working has gained momentum in recent times. With several companies across industries embracing flexibility policy, it has been about finding the right choice for the organization based on internal surveys.
Intel too had its internal survey in November last year and over 90% of the employees sought a hybrid work model.
Flexibility has been a key component of the annual gender analytics, Best Companies for Women in India, conducted by Avtar in association with Seramount. Flexibility supports women who juggle several roles between their homes and workplaces.
