Hybrid work benefits but needs to be inclusive: Study

A new study has revealed that hybrid work is an effective model. However, it also says that a lot has to be done to build an inclusive culture and improve employee experience across workplaces.

The study by Cisco titled ‘Employees are ready for hybrid work, are you?’ revealed that at least 6 in 10 (61%) employees felt that work quality improved. Similarly, 60% felt that their productivity levels increased in the hybrid model. Over 75% felt that their roles were executable from anywhere. However, the survey, which covered 28,000 employees from 27 countries, found that only one in four thought their offices were prepared for the hybrid model. They sought more flexibility, work-life balance, and an emphasis on employee wellness.

With hybrid work becoming a sought-after model, it is only natural for companies to examine the best ways to make it inclusive. It brings with it the challenge of employees fearing loss of flexibility, especially for women professionals, leading to attrition.

The Segue Sessions #HacktheHybrid- the ERG way, the 14th edition of Avtar’s flagship event scheduled on May 13 looks at finding a solution for it.
