40% women in managerial roles: HUL hits milestone

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) now has 40% women in managerial roles, demonstrating the commitment to gender diversity.

According to reports, the FMCG major has arrived at a gender balance in divisions like Marketing, Research and Development, Legal, and Human Resources.

The reports added that several initiatives enabled the company to make such impressive progress.

Project Ahilya, designed to create equal opportunities for women in frontline sales roles, has roped in 1,000 women. The initiative has gained impetus as it strives to build a diverse and inclusive sales frontline.

With a commitment to gender equality on the factory floor, over 850 women are employed at the company’s factories. They are on the path to reaching 40% women representation at its first gender-balanced site in Sumerpur soon.
