The same rigour now anchors our ESG approach. We believe that ESG must be guided by credible data, measurable outcomes and transparent reporting.

Our Proven Legacy
Since 2000, Avtar’s work has created tangible and measurable impact across organisations and individuals. Over 800 organisations have partnered with Avtar to strengthen workplace culture through inclusion and equity-focused consulting.
Through our career initiatives, more than 100,000 women have successfully re-entered the workforce, while over 200,000 women have benefited from our Intentional Career Pathing programs that build skills, confidence, and long-term career direction.
Our impact continues to grow each year. In 2024–25 alone, Avtar conducted 424 workshops, directly supporting 8,160 women in advancing their careers and leadership capabilities. At the organisational level, 413 companies participated in Avtar and Seramount benchmarking studies, Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI) and Most Inclusive Companies Index (MICI), gaining deep, data-backed insights to accelerate their inclusion journeys.
This scale of engagement has given Avtar one of the richest data repositories on workplace inclusion and career pathways in India. It is this evidence-based understanding, built over more than two decades, that now powers our ESG advisory work. By bringing proven expertise, credible data, and deep organisational insight to ESG, Avtar helps companies translate sustainability commitments into measurable social impact and stronger, more inclusive institutions.

An independent social impact assessment by KPB & Associates confirmed these outcomes, with 96% of beneficiaries saying they would recommend Avtar’s programmes to others.
Intersectional Climate Action
We approach ESG through the lens of what we know best: the power of inclusion to drive real-world outcomes.
The evidence is clear. Women are disproportionately affected by climate change: an estimated 80% of people displaced by climate impacts globally are women, yet they remain underrepresented in the institutions and leadership forums where climate and sustainability decisions are made.
At the same time, research consistently shows that greater female representation in leadership is linked to stronger environmental performance. Studies have found that even a 1% increase in female managers can correspond with a measurable reduction in CO₂ emissions, underscoring the link between inclusive leadership and responsible environmental outcomes.
This is where Avtar’s work becomes critical. For over 25 years, we have built deep expertise in advancing women’s participation in the workforce and strengthening their presence in leadership and decision-making roles. At Avtar, we see the gender–climate connection as a strategic lever for better ESG outcomes. Helping organisations recognise and act on this connection lies at the heart of our ESG consulting practice.
Accountability at Every Level
At Avtar, accountability is embedded in every step of how we operate and how we measure progress. As an ISO 20700 certified organization, a globally recognised standard that sets clear expectations for transparency, methodology and client engagement in management consulting, our work is grounded in defined processes, ethical conduct and measurable outcomes.
In addition, Avtar voluntarily commissions independent Social Impact Assessments every year to evaluate the real-world outcomes of our programs and initiatives. These assessments go beyond activity metrics to examine whether our interventions are creating sustained improvements in career access, workplace inclusion, and organisational practices.
