AVTAR Human Capital Trust

On the 3rd of December 2008, AVTAR’s activities in the areas of Education sponsorship, Scholarship assistance, Research on Careers and development of women professionals got a new name – The AVTAR HUMAN CAPITAL TRUST - a Charitable, Public and Social Trust.

Some of the main objectives of the trust are as follows:

To establish and run schools, institutions, centers of information on education, learning and development in such places as deemed fit for the promotion of education with focus on Indian traditional way of learning.

To provide education funding for deserving students from economically backward sections of the society, based on their keenness for self-development, aptitude and academic record.

To undertake research in areas relating to development of women, with specific focus on Flexible careers for women.

To support initiatives within congregations or communities to promote education and Training of underprivileged women.

To offer scholarship assistance to worthy candidates who wish to pursue education or research, especially at a graduate level, relating to Flexi-careers or Talent management. While this education or research may take place outside of India it will be expected that those receiving the assistance intend to make a contribution to India through their findings. (Special consideration will be given to applicants who are endeavouring to engage in such work while in mid-career.)

To work cooperatively and supportively with authors and editors who aspire to publish books or produce educational resources that are in keeping with the objectives of the Trust.

To Provide funding / financial support to underprivileged youngsters who are embarking upon a career to help/facilitate their living conditions and / or enable them to equip themselves with relevant tools/infrastructure towards performing better in their career.

The trustees welcome contributions, donations, proposals and applications from individuals, institutions, congregations and organizations that might fulfill one or more of the above mentioned criteria.
